01Confirm artwork ownership and permission
Use only logos, names and files the buyer is authorized to apply. Record the artwork owner, version and approval contact. Product compatibility does not grant rights to another company's word mark or symbol, and a factory should not be asked to reproduce unlicensed branding.
02Map every proposed logo location
Name the left earbud, right earbud, outer case, inner lid, box, insert and carton separately. Mark printable width, height, curve, texture, seam and moving parts. A process that works on the broad case face may not resolve on a stem or soft-touch coating.
03Compare offered application methods
Pad printing can transfer marks to shaped surfaces; screen printing suits some flatter areas; laser marking changes or removes a compatible surface; UV printing may support detailed color on suitable substrates. Actual results depend on material, pretreatment, ink, equipment and supplier process, so request method-specific samples.
04Prepare production artwork
Provide vector artwork with fonts converted or packaged, named spot colors, minimum clear space and approved positive or reverse versions. Avoid sending a small screenshot as the master. State whether the displayed size refers to the full artwork box or visible mark.
05Approve size, position and appearance
Measure from stable physical edges or centerlines and record orientation. Review edge sharpness, pinholes, fill, distortion, color, gloss, tactile step and interference with indicators or controls. Sign a real preproduction sample and retain front, side and close photographs.
06Define safe durability checks
Agree any dry rub, handling, abrasion or chemical exposure method with cycle count, material, force and acceptance. Test the approved printed sample before production. Do not invent solvent checks or expose battery openings and charging contacts to liquid without a qualified safe procedure.
07Control batch and reorder consistency
Inspect logo presence, correct artwork, location, orientation, color, edge quality and damage using the approved sample and limits. Require notice if substrate, coating, ink, laser settings, fixture or print supplier changes because the same artwork can produce a different mark.
