01Create an item identity record
Record the brand reference, product type, model or style name, size, color, material only when supported, production or date information when appropriate, and a private internal inventory ID. Do not infer an exact model from one similar marketplace image.
02Capture a complete image set
Photograph front, back, sides, base, interior, closures, hardware, labels, markings, high-wear areas, defects and included accessories in consistent light. Keep original files and avoid edits that hide texture, color difference, scratches, repairs or wear.
03Describe condition by evidence
Separate observable facts from grading labels. Record wear, staining, odor disclosure where relevant, scratches, tarnish, deformation, missing parts, function, lining, edges and prior repair or alteration if known. Define what any grade means on your own site.
04Record provenance and right to sell
Keep acquisition source, date, invoice or transaction record where available, seller representations and the evidence supporting lawful possession and resale. Protect personal data and do not publish private documents merely to make a public listing look stronger.
05Define authentication scope
Record who performed the review, when, which item and evidence were examined, the result, limitations and any report identifier. A platform check, automated opinion, document review and physical expert examination are not the same service. Never describe a broader guarantee than the evidence provides.
06List accessories separately
Record dust bag, box, receipt, tags, cards, straps, locks, keys, spare parts and other inclusions one by one. State whether each accessory is original, replacement or unverified only when that status is supported. Accessories are not proof of the item's identity by themselves.
07Build item-level resale economics
Use verified acquisition cost, authentication, cleaning or repair, photography, platform, payment, shipping, insurance, return and expected loss costs. A marketplace display amount is not automatically an actual purchase, wholesale or resale value. Keep estimate, listing and completed transaction values separate.
08Publish only supported wording
Make the public title, condition, material, year, model, included accessories and authentication statement match the internal record. Preserve trademark accuracy and avoid official, authorized, guaranteed or like-new language unless the exact claim is documented and permitted.
