01Identify layout and dimensions
Record item ID, displayed brand and model references, color, closed and open size, card-slot count, bill or coin sections, closure type and visible marks. Do not infer material or exact model only from texture or a similar online image.
02Capture arrival condition
Photograph front, back, spine, top, base, both sides and the wallet fully open before cleaning. Add close views of all corners and edge coating. Retain intake packaging and source information in the private record.
03Map exterior wear
Record scratches, dents, scuffs, stains, color transfer, fading, cracking, peeling, loose stitching and deformation by face and exact edge. Check the fold in relaxed and open positions because cracks may appear only under normal movement.
04Review closure and hardware
Test snap, zipper, button, clasp or chain through normal use. Note alignment, holding strength, stiffness, plating wear, scratches, loose parts and replacement signs. Stop before a forced closure creates new damage.
05Inspect slots and compartments
Look inside each card slot, bill compartment, coin pocket and gusset under neutral light. Record stretch, tears, residue, stickiness, ink, makeup, loose lining, debris and odor. Do not insert oversized cards to test capacity.
06Record included items and work
List box, dust bag, card, receipt, chain, insert or other accessory as original, replacement or unknown based on evidence. Document cleaning, recoloring, edge repair, stitching, hardware or lining work and keep before-and-after photos.
07Approve condition and listing
State the condition with visible examples and limitations rather than a grade alone. Record the authentication provider and scope separately. Reconcile every listing photo and description with the final physical item immediately before dispatch.
