01Identify the complete test set
Record the earbud and case model, sample ID, firmware, source phone, operating-system version, charger, cable and approximate sample age. Photograph the starting indicators. Similar housings can contain different cells or firmware, so the result belongs to this exact set.
02Define full charge before timing
Use the agreed cable and power source, allow the earbuds and case to reach their stated full indicators, then note any settling period before playback. If the app and case indicators disagree, record both instead of choosing the more favorable reading.
03Fix the playback conditions
Choose one locally stored playlist or repeatable audio file, one phone, one volume setting and one stable connection. Record ANC, transparency, spatial features, equalizer and microphone use as on or off. Note room temperature without implying a formal environmental test.
04Log the discharge event
Start a visible timer with playback. Write down pauses, calls, reconnections, low-battery prompts and control use. Record when the first earbud warns, when each side stops and whether playback resumes after returning it to the case. Do not average away a meaningful left-right difference.
05Repeat before accepting a number
Recharge under the same method and repeat the run. A single cycle may reflect an incomplete charge, an interruption or indicator error. Compare the two observations and investigate large differences before using the sample as an approval reference.
06Measure the case separately
After a controlled earbud discharge, recharge both earbuds from the case without connecting external power. Record each completed or partial recharge and the case indicator after every cycle. Stop when the case can no longer complete the agreed recharge condition.
07Report an observed result, not a promise
Write the sample runtime beside every condition and repeat count. Keep supplier specifications in a separate field. Production variation, user volume, calls, signal conditions, features, temperature and battery aging can change actual use, so approve a test method and tolerance rather than a detached headline.
